If you, like me, are learning Icelandic check out the library to see if they have books on sale. Only 100kr (60p) each! Book shops are very expensive here in Iceland.

There are sometimes withdrawn library books for sale in the cafe on the ground floor (straight ahead past the information desk as you enter).

Check out the Dark Deeds in Reykjavik tour. It's a 90 minute walking tour that takes you around the town and details it's influence on crime fiction. They meet at 5pm on Thursdays in summer.
