Great pub food, try the Texas one (chips & gravy, chicken wings, steak, spare ribs and corn on the cob). Nice atmosphere! Hotel room is very basic, nothing special.

Forget about the gastropub title. Below standard food at above standard prices. Not even a bit of garnish to be seen on a plate of scampi obviously sourced from a packet.

Avoid Sunday lunch. Flat cold and no seasoning, and at £10 & £12 for chicken and sirloin (steak not roast as expected) it was very disappointing. Pub seemed ok otherwise apart from weird taxidermy

It's actually a pub with rooms rather than a hotel. Drinkable red wine and free pool. What more could you ask for? (Don't answer that.)
