Good beer. Bang average food. A shame because it’s quirky and well worth visiting if food is not your number one objective.

Ate here on Tuesday and had the most amazing steak pie and gravy. Came back on Thursday for more and, while the pie was good, the mash was luke warm and the gravy was merely OK.

"Muddy Bikers & Dirty Dogs Welcome" says the sign. Free dog biscuits in a jar just to the left of the bar.

Fantastic British food, excellent beers that are knowledgeably kept - this place is a little gem. Make sure you get seat by the fire.
