Amazing collection of ancient and modern Vietnamese art! Cons: Hard to navigate around the floors and buildings, no proper descriptions to any of the collections

Bigger than it looks. Not all halls are connected to each other, so make sure you get all sides of the museum and all floors. Good range of art — from ancient to contemporary. 40,000VND.

Highly recommended to escape from chaotic old city. Beautiful collection of lacquer paintings on second floor, don’t miss collection of ethnic dress in the annex building!

Nice place in the centre, especially the lacquer paintings impressed me, but also has a lot of ceramics and sculptures! Take at least an hour and max 2 for this place!

I'm a sucker for Buddhist art so enjoyed the first sections. Communist art in the later parts gets a bit monotonous. The craftsmanship, particularly of the lacquerwork, is undeniable though.

There are some really beautiful art pieces. It's a must see place in my opinion. It's a little hard to navigate but the place is bigger than it seems.

I personally liked strolling through. It's a bit confusing that there's two buildings connected and it's not very clear but some of the work was truly inspiring especially the war related material.
