Open in 1904, it is the nation's oldest conservatory and covers more than an acre with a central dome 85 feet high. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 10a to 5p. Free admission and parking.

If you visit in the winter, be sure to prepare for fogging of glasses and/or camera lenses. Also, you'll probably want to take your coat off. Appreciate all the little details of the plants.

Sometimes it smells weird, sometimes it doesn't. It's free regardless.
