Сингапур — город-государство, который всего за 50 лет прошел путь развития от рыбацких поселений до современного мирового финансового центра.
Карта республики Сингапур включает 63 больших и малых острова общей площадью 719,9 км². Примечательно, что эта цифра из года в год увеличивается благодаря программе искусственного расширения территории и намыва берегов.Главные достопримечательности Сингапура — природные парки и заповедники. Среди них можно отметить заповедник «Букит Тима», парк птиц «Джуронг», туристический остров Сентоса. Даже в городском зоопарке животные содержаться в условиях, которые приближены к природным. Популярные места для туристов — набережная Клар-Ки и причал, вдоль которого растянулась вереница магазинов, пабов, плавучих ресторанов, магазинов и отделов, где изготавливают и продают изделия народного промысла.В Сингапуре развита служба такси в качестве одного из основных видов общественного транспорта. Так власти заранее предупредили пробки на дорогах в плотно застроенном городе, а с местным водителем туристу не понадобиться путеводитель по городу.
