They were a bit heavy upfront with the English conquest of Ireland, but then at the end when mentioning the Emergency of WW2 they neglected to mention Ireland was a Neutral country. Bears mentioning.

This is a must-do if you're in Kilkenny. Fantastic tour and make sure to upgrade to the tasting flight so you can try all 3 beers. Make friends in the tasting room after.

Really liked this tour; interesting story, nice exhibits and great explanation of the brewing process. All finished off with the best pint of Smithwick's ever! 🍻
